Dermatos® prosthetic fingers are quite often a vital need for an amputee's profession. Although this client was "only" missing half a finger, it was necessary for him to be fitted with a Dermatos® finger prosthesis in order to protect his livelihood.

Cases such as these educate insurance companies that claim finger prosthetics are "not functional".

Of course finger amputees do not need to be a dentist, doctor, actor, executive, etc. to benefit from the functionality of Dermatos® prosthetic fingers. The amazing life-like appearance of the prosthesis is  very functional in itself. It allows wearers to feel at ease and not be distracted from their life and work by the stares of others.
